Author Topic: Add-ons executing after they've been deleted  (Read 1067 times)

When I started up Blockland i noticed something strange, the add-on script_notify (the one for the old IRC) was still executing.

So I went into my add-ons folder and deleted it.

And then I started Blockland up again.

And it executed again.
But it's deleted! How is that possible!

Are you sure you deleted from the new blockland add ons location?

I'm Absolutely sure. I checked, double checked, and triple checked.

An add-on cannot execute if it does not exist. You forgeted up.

Well somehow it executed it. I dont know how the forget how.
It is ABSOLUTELY NOT in either of my add-on folders, and I will post a console log in a few hours (im at school) to show this.

I'm not sure if this is even close to possible, but If you had a client-sided add-on in your cache.db could it somehow run?

No one believes you because it's not loving possible. You're deleting the wrong file.

Dammit, im posting a screenshot of my addons folder to SHOW YOU there is no loving script_notify in there.

Perhaps you have a copy of it as a normal folder and not a zip?

I thought blockland would only execute zips.

But no, I do not have a copy as a regular folder.

I propose you experiment. Cut and paste the entire contents of your add-ons folder somewhere else so it is completely empty, then run the game and see what happens.

On my crappy computer, that would take almost an hour to paste anywhere else.
And then it would take almost an hour to paste it back in.
