Author Topic: A decent 3-D model creator software.  (Read 4494 times)

Who here knows where I can find a free model software that I can use for Blockland?

I've been searching, but to no avail. :c

I've heard of blender, but I want to know what most people use here.

(Also, a software where I can animate the model would be nice.)

Again.
Blender.
Open source, free, easier to use if you look at the tutorials.

Blender is free but hard to learn.

MilkShape is easier than Blender imo but costs money.

SketchUp is free but it takes some dedication to bring stuff in-game.

Just got to find the right tutorials.

Only because the options are so limited

for example, Blender, you can select ANY vertex on your model from any point of view in a 3D view

with milkshape, this is not the case, you must rely on the 2D windows for modification, and the 3D window to see what the forget you're doing

All modeling programs are lame compared to Sketchup. It's so easy to do anything.

Blender takes a while to learn but afterwards beats any free or cheap modeling software.

Milkshape kept me under the water like CRAZY

I use blender for non-blockland and milkshape for blockland.

Milkshape is easy, but costs money.

Blender is more complex but you can do greater things, and its free.

I personaly like Blender the most, but I have both.
