Author Topic: Youtube Bluescreens?  (Read 1200 times)

Just questioning, but has anyone else been getting bluescreens literally during or after browsing Youtube?
I have been on most of my computers, but it only appears to be on AMD CPU computers, something with the stop error code 0x0000008E with watchdog.sys, I just wished to know if anyone was getting it other than me.

My sister gets this a lot.

Try updating Flash.
:/ i have a AMD CPU and dont have this problem

with watchdog.sys,
Doesn't AVG have a process called watchdog? Or am i thinking of something else :s

I have the most up-to-date version of my Video drivers, my CPU drivers (AMD Cool 'n Quiet, Dual Core Optimizer), BIOS, and my SATA drivers.

When I looked it up, it's something to do with error reporting of driver failures.

It has nothing to do with my browser's cache, as I clear it regularly. It's not the problem.

Is your PC up to date with all of the windows updates? I got some driver updates from windows update itself which stopped me bluescreening.

The only updates available are an update for IE 6, and the Windows Malicious Software removal. Fully up-to-date.

This may sound silly but have you done any disk checks recently?

lol IE6. IE6 is way too outdated

I have it set to chkdsk every time I boot up, as I take excellent care of my computer, I just don't understand why it's only Youtube doing this to me. I could make it run for days on end, in and out of standby, and I wouldn't get anything wrong until I open a window containing Youtube videos.

Ikr? Why download it if you're never going to use the damn thing?

According to youtube themselves, You should right click a flash object and look for "Hardware acceleration" then uncheck it. Because the new flash update does that to some graphics cards.
