Anyone else notice that you cant mod custom sounds into the game anymore with it constantly updating its files? I used to have a lot of awesome sound replacements and now i cant implement them. Is there a way around it?

There is, but Badspot highly recommends not replacing the default game files

i see. its just that i don't like jumping and going *BOING* all the time. i had a cool custom *WHOOSH* sound i made that worked nicely (among others including death, water, and light sounds)

Badspot doesn't like minor cosmetic adjustments, they might make one person's overall gameplay experience marginally better than someone elses which would be unfair.

The launcher shouldn't even be writing the files if they haven't been updated.

odd.... all i know is that it wont let me replace them (they wont change ingame)

edit: if i posted my modded sounds, would he allow it since it would be available to everyone?

There is a different way of changing the games sounds than replacing them that I use, look at my server and try to jump.

i think badspot just wants things done the right way instead of by replacing everything

i agree, but i like to customize stuff. and i like being unique when it comes to that

replacing the playertype's jumping noise?

replacing the sound in "Blockland\base\data\sound", but yes
(i guess i could make a custom player with custom sounds, ill try it out)

that was directed towards Munk, i wasn't recommending that.

Use Destiny/Zack0Wack0's user content mod to do this.

secound,
Why do you wanna change the default sound files? They are great. Badspot always hated people that replaced default game files. We should be happy that we are able now to replace GUI Button Styles etc.

um, thats what he just sent me to.
