Question Of The Day #1:

Do you trust wikipedia?

Why is this question asked:

There are rumors of hackers getting into wikipedia, changing the infomation. (its rare)

Some say they dont trust,

Alot say they do.

What would you say?

No, they do not have the best accurate answer, they can pretty much change up the article and making it not true.

I only trust it for very basic information. E.G. Date of death, and even then I'm unsure.

Its articles seem very trust-worthy. So yes.

Some of the articles are lol, but most of them I can trust.

Let him who search wrong continue to search wrong; let him who lies continue to lie; let him who search right continue to search right; and let him who is informed continue to be informed. And, behold, the knowledge come quickly; and its reward is with it, to give every man according to his contributions and his questions shall be answered. For Wikipedia is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

Except when its wrong. :c

I trust it for most general information stuff.

Generally if a page gets changed, the community moderators generally put it back to normal within a few minutes. But like dkamm said, I only really trust it for general information.

What if a mod gives false information but then another mod notices and says its wrong so then they take a vote and the false information vote wins and the false information stays on the page and everyone fails their assignments?
