They dropped it to $200 because the kindle fire is better and $200. On that note get a kindle fire, I got it for my mom early for Christmas because she really wanted it and didn't want to wait and it is lightning fast and it has TONS of really fun apps and games.

The Nook has 1GB of RAM, compared to the 512MB in the Fire, and it has 2 hours longer battery life.  Though you are sacrificing screen space.
