Author Topic: Does it take time for a Blockland server to kick in before people can join it?  (Read 1060 times)

I'm trying to test my Port Forwarding, I have noticed this when my friends make servers, but their ping starts out with --- and their RTB says "NO" for five minutes, I can't join then, but then after their ping is normal and RTB says "YES"

Is this normal?

Yes. It takes a moment to post to both query servers usually depending on your/their router(s).

It's been about 7 or so minutes, mine still says no RTB and no ping. I have RTB and in the console, it has said "Posting to RTB server" and AUTHENTICATION: SUCCESS

But it didn't post to the Master Query.
There's your problem.

Yeah, it's been like 20 minutes now, it still says No RTB

I typed in WebCom_PostServer(); and it still didn't work.

What is going on? I tried Port forwarding it correctly, and I am pretty sure I did it right.

google search pfportchecker, then download it from portforward.com.
once you get it, check tcp and enter port number 28000 to make sure you did it correctly.

I already tried that, and it still doesn't work.

Oh wait stuff I downloaded the wrong thing.

I checked ports 28000

It says my ports aren't open, but here, I did it right!

If I follow badspots guide, and the Portforward guide, the IP's are different in the console and on the internet page

It's supposed to post to the master server immediately once it's done loading.

Yeah I know that now, I can't seem to port forward right though.

You need to open those ports in your software firewall too (Windows Firewall/Norton/Mcaffee/etc).
