First you need to learn how to use 3d modeling software.
Using MilkShape as a reference- if you want the item to face forwards it has to face away from the x and y axis on the z axis. You will have to fiddle with the size of the model via scripting or trial and error in the modeling program. You won't be able to do any of this very quickly or efficiently per night. It takes a lot of research and practice to be decent at bringing personal creations into Blockland. Look through Rotondo's topic for resources. That's the first place you should start. You're on your own now until you can form a question that we can actually answer, let alone understand.

For beginners, use Sketchup, because that is probably the most simple 3D Modeling program for beginners. Once you get better at creating models within Sketchup, proceed to Milkshape, if making models isn't easy for you, then look up a tutorial, made by one of us, or by the program.
