The Video

I find a strange circular device on Slate! Will my attempts to use it work or fail miserably?

Also, in before someone complains about the lack of chevrons. It's just a forty-brick build I slapped together in fifteen minutes.

lol lets go in and fight blocko ghast

This isn't a Nether portal, though!

This is a Stargate!

WE need to find a stargazer!

It's not round enough.  :0

Didn't someone make a Stargate JVS?

Didn't someone make a Stargate JVS?

Yeah, but this is more to showcase some of the sounds in the Stargate soundpack I submitted to RTB than to be a full-detail Stargate. I'm almost positive the Stargate isn't that small, either.

Turns out the size of my Stargate isn't too far off!
The size of the SG-1 stargates are about 3.5-4.0 times the height of the characters.

Mine is only 2.5 times the height of the Blockhead, but when one assumes JVS doors are the same height as real doors mine is much closer at around 3.0-3.2 times the height of a person.

Also, now with chevrons!

All numbers above were visual guesses and may substantially differ from the actual heights.

The wormholes, man, they're everywhere!

How does punching a block several times open a portal

How does punching a block several times open a portal

In the film and the series, there's a device with 39 shevrons. One is a unique point-of-origin address. This is a metallic brown object which the characters have nicknamed the Dial-Home Device, or DHD for short. So the idea is that I'm punching in an address into the DHD.

Another thing is that only the first click does anything. All subsequent clicks (or implications of clicking) are purely theatrical.

Doesn't this belong in gallery?

Anyway, cool :D you could of made a more rounded DHD using slants though.

It could be argued either way. Sounds don't belong in gallery, and this is both a build and a sound showcase.

Also, I used a 4x4.

Crap, I got caught on camera!

Now that the soundpack has been processed, here's the second-newest version of the save!

EDIT: Newer save.

Triple post.

Fifth and last video, unless someone wants me to make a Stargate short, in which case I would need a cast and stuff like that.

I could do way more in fifteen minutes. ._.
