Not even. There was more rock in the 70's and 80's, not just disco and electro. In addition, metal was hardly even prominent in the 60's.

Remixes mostly sound way different from the original song. It's your fault for buying a compilation album instead of just a normal studio album. As I Lay Dying is awesome, it's just the remixes that suck.
