Author Topic: Why is there no 16 Bit Depth!?!  (Read 737 times)

When I started Blockland, the bit depth was 32, so part of my screen was cropped. But when I was going to set the bit depth to 16, there was no 16 bit depth! I tried doing everything-- reinstalling Blockland, deleting bad-ons, but nothing worked!

if it isn't there that probably means the engine doesn't support it

I don't know my bit-depth says 32 but when I click the drop down menu all that shows up is Default what does that mean? :o

Default is 16-bit I am pretty sure.

Means you're playing in windowed so it depends on what your desktop is running at.

noedit: Also, setting the bit depth to 16 wont fix your 'screen crop' issue.

What are bit depths anyway? I have options for 16 and 32 but it always presets itself to 32 (I think, maybe 16) no matter what I select

Yes it will. That's how my Blockland has been working without being cropped.

How did you know 16 bit worked fine then if you didn't see the button (at all/anymore).

Just play windowed on maximum supported resolution for now. I personally don't even like fullscreen.

16 bit and 32 bit colors.
32 bit colors is better because there's more colors that you can render.
Bit depth quantifies how many unique colors are available in an image's color palette in terms of the number of 0's and 1's, or "bits," which are used to specify each color.
No it wont. It only affects colors.
