Author Topic: Anti-Aliasing: How important/noticeable is it to you in games?  (Read 2985 times)

When you're running at a pretty high resolution the effects of anti-aliasing textures aren't nearly as noticeable so it's not terribly important to me. The real problem is that because of consoles a lot of games for the PC just don't come with super high resolution textures built into the game.

My graphics card doesn't have an AA option lol

frankly i prefer without AA
but if you're really the kind of person who actually cares and makes a fuss about it you need help

I'll play whatever my computer can handle

Honestly if my player's head is a dodecahedron I don't give a stuff as long as I can play

I could care less about the appearance about the game.
I have a very good imagination, so I don't need all this fancy pants AA and texture packs.
Although, I do have a fairly decent gaming rig, so it's always nice to have.

If it doesn't take too much of an impact on my video card, I typically do 4x MSAA or 8x CSAA.
Or it could be assassin's creed and get 16xQQ without any performance drop :cookieMonster:

Ignore this.

Must have 2-4x AA or the jagged edges make the game hard to masturbate to.

My computer's too weak for AA for most titles, so I deal with the jaggies.

I could care less, I've never really messed with the AA settings.

Ignore this.
"I don't like his opinion, everyone ignore it."

Without AA= unbelievably ugly IMO

My computer is complete stuff so it doesn't support AA, but I don't really need it at all anyway.

I never notice AA if I'm moving around a heated battlefield with boolits flying at me and whatnot, but if I take a screenshot of my game I'll notice the AA is disabled and vomit.

Drives me nuts if I can see the pixels. Anything below 2x ain't happening.

good god you're all such pampered pussies.
