Author Topic: My blockland is broken!  (Read 1268 times)

Can somebody please help me, ive reinstalled it about 10 times and redownloaded but it still doesnt work!

My problem is when I open BL, it says Failed to open: C:/Users/Homeoffice/Blockland/Cache.DB or something like this.

I reinstalled and deleted everything except my Saves and Screenshots, but I did throw away the addons. And then I DLed it again from the website and it still doesnt work. Somebody pleassseee!

HELP.... D:

Make sure that Cache.db isn't read-only.

I cant even find Cache.db, how do I find it?

I tried doing what it said on the error message, C:\Users\Homeoffice\My Documents\Blockland\Cache.DB.

But it did not work. Somebody tell me how to get there.

C:\Users\Homeoffice\My Documents\Blockland
Use this path
Then find cache.db
Go to its properties
Make sure read only is unchecked.

Theres no My Documents, only Documents (343) and when I press it it just has a download folder, thats empty.

Ok I did that Chrono, buts theres no Cache.db

Okay so you should have a shortcut on the desktop that leads to the Blockland Launcher.

Right click it and click properties.
Tell me what it says in the text box labeled "Target:"
It should have something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe" or "C:\Program Files\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe"

It says this: C:\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe

Start>My Documents>Blockland

Is there a file callled cache in there?

Wow, now BL isnt even in My Documents...

So no, I still have it installed.

Oh wait in My Documents theres a folder called "Documents" and I clicked and it has BL in there.

I clicked the folder and no Cache, just random stuff...

It says this: C:\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe
Okay change it to this:

C:\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe -profilePath "C:\Blockland\"

You probably will lose everything.
When you install stuff, put it in the Blockland folder found in C:\ AFTER starting it once after this change.

blockland is saved in two different places in your computer, for me it is
1. documents
2. local disk
documents should only have add-ons, saves , config, screen shots, base, etc.
and local disk should only have the program in it.
for you it might not be in those two places but check to see if you have the program in the same folder as your saves, the same thing happened to me not to long ago and that was the problem i was having -hope this helps.

None of these are working D:
