Author Topic: Anyone Watched The Lord of the Rings?  (Read 1395 times)

I feel like im the only one who hasn't genuinely watched them. I saw them when i was younger, but as OP said, cant really remember it all that well.

You aren't the only one.

I also have no interest in watching them again because from what I've remembered it was mostly walking and lame fight scenes. The enemies go down faster than those puddy-men in power rangers.

Probably because all of the fights were uneven with more bad guys.

More bad guys means more ass kicking for the bad guys. They must outnumber them 100 to 1. The loving generals go down fast too.

the books were amazing, but i haven't watched the movies

from what i can tell there are some really odd differences

ie saruman just being shot with an arrow in the movie (if that really happened, again i never watched them, only seen some bits), that means that there is a part of the story that makes absolutely no sense towards the end and that's really silly

My dad has all the movies on DVD. I'm planning on watching them again tonight.

They're taking the hobbits to Isengard!!!

getting the extended edition box set for christmas.

The lord of the rings series are my favorite movies of all time. Can't wait for the Hobbit.

I just watched the Fellowship of the Ring extended edition, in all I spent 4 hours watching it. The Two Towers is next.

I've seen the first one twice or thrice.
I've seen the second one fifty times.
I've seen the third one a hudred times and own it.

I'm watching all of them tomarrow c:

Just went through a 6 PM - 2 AM Fellowship of the Ring + Two Towers (both extended editions). It was great. I'd say Gimli was one of my favorite characters.

Gimli is hilarious.
Can't wait till Christmas so I can do a LOTR extended edition marathon.
