i want to start learning how to dj instead of just producing

what software do you guys suggest (pref windows)

You don't use software to DJ. At least not well. I mean, how are you supposed to rotate a jog wheel with your mouse? It's just awkward and bad. Beatmatching is a nightmare. Pressing sync won't get you anywhere. Traktor has nice effects but when you're not interfaced right to them with buttons and knobs it's a nightmare applying them. Buying DJ equipment is a nightmare too, but you can probably get some stuff from Gemini for pretty cheap. DJing isn't a cheap hobby though, and you can't pirate hardware. You can play around on traktor and stuff until you decide it's fun enough to invest, but don't expect it to be easy or fun because frankly it isn't unless you think pressing sync then moving a crossfader with your shaky mouse hand is fun.
