I'm almost positive they got Daft Punk's permission to put that in the song, seeing as how there are like Daft-Punk-esque robots in that video. However, in the Happiness one there is no mention of Deadmau5. It's a matter of permissions, really.

No it's mainly because when I'm browsing through songs, I don't like to see tons of women on the thumbnails. It's not really that big of a deal anyways

This is what Daft Punk sampled for Robot Rock. They didn't give credit, if you sample a song you don't exactly have to give credit. However I do believe the people with the deadmau5 thingy stole it since they pretty much used the whole song and when you sample you at least modify it a little...

Anywho, it's not nearly done but I would really appreciate some opinions (Not just "it's utter stuff", which in retrospect it is, but I need to know WHY). Thanks!

i like that a lot, cucumber. some tips:

the beginning could use sort of a whitenoise rushy hit sort of thing, because just having the snares there makes it seem kind of empty.

everything after that and up to 2:05 is good, can't really think of anything to say about that

2:05 to end, i'm thinking the synth you're using here by itself isn't enough, and that it needs some sort of backup melody, synth or bloop, that and it needs to be less repetitive. maybe with some pattern slicing magic, you could mix it up a little bit? throw in some random crazy sounds for a nice complextro feel? maybe make yourself a nice drop there.

also, it sounds more like house to me than hardcore. just saying, lol
