Author Topic: Just bought a Guitar. Is Decided, I play House of the Rising Sun  (Read 1189 times)

I bought a Peavey Raptor (Basically a cheap Stratocaster) for $65 at a pawn shop. I love it. The only thing I need to know is where keys are (C, C#, D) and I'm set. Also, they use the same type of sheet music too, so that's a relief. MY grandpa who is in a band is also here and he tuned it. :D

Do they have black friday sales at pawnshops?

I, too, bought a guitar--though I got mine about six months ago. They're very ncie instruments. I've found that I can only really appreciate a beautiful guitar once I've played one. Congratulations anyhoo.

Buy a tuner.
He'll reach you how to tune your strings.
If you're looking for lowest octave C on the guitar it's on your second string from the bottom(The bottom is the thickest string.)
I'm pretty sure this is correct, but i don't play guitar.

It was originally $125. Also, Pics.

O lol I had a Peavy Rockmaster until I got my Schecter C-7 Hellraiser (seven string guitar).

High C is second string, first fret. C# is the second fret, and D is third fret.

If you want the low notes I can tell you those too.

d id you buy an amp?

You're going top to bottom starting from the thinest, right?

I think he is. Also, No. I have a cheap receiver with microphone jacks.

This is a used guitar though so I'm gonna go clean it off.

I think you need a polish cloth for that.

A wash cloth works just as good, though.

Yes, that's how it's usually taught. Sorry if I was unclear.
