Question on iPod Touch

Recently, every time I watch a video whether it be a video I just recorded, or one on youtube, I can never twist the screen to the side. It happens on everything even the internet. It gets annoying having to use a little screen all the time. Does anybody know why this happens?

It also has a crack going through the center. It still works fine but could this have anything to do with it?

I've no experience with damaged iPods but I'd think so

Make sure your eye level with it before you turn it. If you are looking down at it it wont register.

Nope, I just tilted a full 360 Degrees and nothing registered.

360 Degrees is one circle. so you would be the same way as before you tilted.

Sounds like your accelerometer isn't working for some reason. Back up your iPod and do a recovery to see if it's not a software issue.

double tap the home button, scroll to the left and you should see music controls and a portrait orientation button

if it has a lock symbol on it then press it again to unlock the orientation.

How did you not know this, lol. 

Also, they should have an option to lock landscape position. Good for watching movies in bed when twisting around and such
