The other players seriously didn't show any signs of minding, and the admins were okay with it, if not doing it themselves.
If it's not against the rules, and isn't ruining it for the players, why is it a bad thing to do?

In my honest opinion, DrenDran was abusing VCE. Flying and shooting projectiles gives him an unfair advantage, and last time I checked, VCE in 'moderation' is simple nonviolent things.

If it was your server, or a server you were admin on, or even a server you were playing on, I'd respect that and not use VCE like that.
But literally no one made any complaints (they asked about it though, some wanting to do it themselves) , and the admins said it was okay.
