Author Topic: Need a file compressing software  (Read 1392 times)

Title says all. I need a free downloadable program that can compress file sizes. I want to upload some Minecraft videos to Youtube but I'm not going to wait 22 hours for a 2 minute video.

Saving videos as .wmv's works well and those are quite small, you could try that?

I use FRAPS and when the video recording stops it automatically saves them as a file which nme I've forgot.

And sorry I haven't been on this post in a while.

Change the extension name? From .??? to .mwv like said above?

Fraps outputs AVI files. You should use some software to convert them Windows movie maker (basic way) or some sourceforge software.

They eliminated the regular windows movie maker for no apparent reason in Windows 7 and replaced it with a less user friendly dumbed down version. You can download the older versions for free. Google Windows Movie Maker 2.6
