Brother broke my xbox360 (Red Ring of Death)

I'm sitting here playing on Aes's city loverp whatevers going on, and my brother comes up and tells me the xbox is broke.
I go down and see it has the red ring of death, greeat. The only time it got that was when the powercord was out a wee bit, but once I plugged that in it worked fine. He told me the xbox turned off on him playing his gay Fable 3 game.
I saw that the power box was tucked between the wall and the cushen of the bunkbed, the xbox was laying down when it happened, and he turned it up thinking that would fix it.
When it is on the rings just blink red. I know there is some tricks to fixing this, so?
Please help me so he doesn't have to use his beer money buying me a new xbox.

You can use the towel trick but that only makes it work for a few days

depends on how many of the lights were red
mine had two, i just used a different hard drive lol (as weird as that sounds, it worked.)
if it's past 3 then you're screwed more than likely

He was playing his game and somehow it broke. I doubt my xbox would just die on it, the boys really reliable, so my brother had to do something.
My friends say the towel trick, but if it only works for a few days then I might just sell it then. Gah.

I had my original Xbox 360 and I played it for 30 minutes and I left for 3 hours and when I turned it back on it was dead.

He had the power brick tucked between the wall and is loving mattress? How many lights were on? If it is four then it's not broken. my friend smacked the power brick once when I brought mine over to his house, adnd it showed four rings. I turned it back on and it works fine.

3 means General hardware Failure. What this means is that your Xbox is boned. He probably broke the power brick.

The power brick probably burned itself out.

It wasn't in the open not cuddled like a cat in the matress. The powerbox wasn't really hot when I checked but it could be a problem that it didn't get fresh air.

All four rings were red, the power icon was green. When I opened the diskdrive it all flashes red.
