It's more of "Why the forget do we want American anyway. This war is pointless. No one will win. Let's just end it now"
Also, on the international scale, America is a rather new country compared to places like England. Yet it has everything. It's a bunch of nations put a lot of stuff into it.
So when Americans say they are great, It's because of what we gave them.
If we didn't and never even considered it up to this point and beyond, it would just be native Americans. Alaska would still belong to Russia. (Fun fact. Alaska belonged to Russia at one point. It was sold to a wealthy American and then they found valuable resources)
So Britain gave America a bunch of stuff, huh?
They also treated Americans like stuff and King George pushed them into war, as much pride as a king could have. The was wasn't pointless, maybe you should go read a history book or two, what they were doing in Britain was dumb and you know it. Alaska was bought, so what?
In most things to do with countries you'll find someone from the US talking about how much better there country is. Back off.
No, you back off, I never hear any of my friends boast about how great America is, or anyone else for that matter. Foreigners always use this as an excuse to argue, but it's never true.
