there's a guy in band at my school, and during band camp the director was trying to get people to learn names, so he pointed to this one senior named Miles and asked a girl if she knew his name
she said no
so he said "we call him Smiles, because he smiles all the time"
and he smiled
though nobody actually calls him Smiles
it will work on pretty much everyone, so long as they don't have stone cold anti-embarrassment defenses
