Author Topic: UTAH hit by massive windstorm, extensive damage, winds headed for CALIFORNIA.  (Read 3048 times)

i live in utah. all loving day there's been this horrible windstorm.

went to school, power went out later when a power line exploded due to a toppling tree. there is now a fire raging across the street from my school.

i've returned home and we've recieved flickering power (however it is now steady), the internet just got back on and the chances of it staying running is like..50%

winds picked up to 100 mph, causing me to relive the experience of chell on the moon.

that's right, i had to hold on to my loving door i'm so damn light compared to these winds.

it is advised that you stay indoors so that no debris flies at you, and if there's trees be aware.

these winds are traveling towards california, likely going to tear you bitches up. however, winds will calm down by the time they arrive. stay weary though, folks, these winds aren't over yet.

pics

(notice how northern utah is almost purple, that's where i am. loving trees flying everywhere.)

HEY, LET'S HEAD UP TO THE STATION AND G-

The graph says you are in the 40 mph wind area.

The graph says you are in the 40 mph wind area.
rather inaccurate
100mph winds were recorded here in my county o:
they're still staying around the 80mph range, so i'm not going outside for a while :L

Perfect weather for kite flying  :cookieMonster:

Already hit Cali. My dad's work's power went out. stufftons of wind at my house. I swear to god I saw lightning, too.

Perfect weather for kite flying  :cookieMonster:
some kid ran to the park with a kite after our school was excused.
he's probably dead now

Or he is a genius and flying to his secret lair!

some kid ran to the park with a kite after our school was excused.
he's probably dead now
no the kite is flying him now

It's kind of odd when we stop in our car here not having it shake the forget around.

The best flying weather here is probably in the summer/early Autmn.

if anyone wants more pics, let me know because i want to explore the damages with a super awesome camera of yes

I heard about this already
5:20 PM - Kirchenbank446: My state is apparently going to have 100mph winds tonight and tomorrow
5:20 PM - Kirchenbank446: for a full like 24 hours
has any major damage happened around you

holy stuff
that was a gas station?
I wonder why everything blew away except the sign
which is actually more likely to blow away than the rest of the building
