Bump because this is one of the best megathreads I've ever seen plus checking here to find the latest mystery gift news and such is highly useful.
I'll be posting my Pokemon White (if I can find the stupid cartridge) and my Pokemon Black friend codes, along with my Pokemon Black V2 friend code when I get the game and also get Keldeo and trade it over to Pkmn b-v2 when I get it
P.S. I always design a strategy for a party of pokemon. (This is for people who intend to keep their pokemon and not trade them out with some random one in their PC they caught because it's a higher level)
First pokemon: Starter pokemon, of course. Water-type starters are the most useful, as they consume both your Starter slot and your Watertype slot.
Second pokemon: Rock, Flying, Water, Air, etc. slot. Anything capable of using an HM that isn't rock smash or cut or some other awfully easy to learn move.
Third pokemon: Rock, Flying, Water, Air, etc. slot. Anything capable of using an HM that isn't rock smash or cut or some other awfully easy to learn move.
Fourth pokemon: Rock, Flying, Water, Air, etc. slot. Anything capable of using an HM that isn't rock smash or cut or some other awfully easy to learn move.
Fifth pokemon: Rock, Flying, Water, Air, etc. slot. Anything capable of using an HM that isn't rock smash or cut or some other awfully easy to learn move... OR, if your starter slot is also your water slot, what I call "Power pokemon" slot, AKA a pokemon that you don't want for the ability of learning HMs, but rather it's uniqueness, beauty, level, etc.
Sixth pokemon: Power pokemon slot, AKA a pokemon that is purely for it's power, uniqueness, beauty, level, etc... And not the ability to use HMs.
EDIT: I like how op took the time to get é for the title - (Pokémon VG Megathread - Global Link down, B2/W2 launch approaching!) - and not just casually type Pokemon like most people
