Surf isn't that bad of a move in battle, unless we are talking online.

Surf's not a bad move online either...it's probably one of the best (if not the best) reliable water attacks.

If they're even remotely good, even a single perfect IV, it's not richardish at all

I prefer Scald, since Hydro Pump doesn't give off a burn and has less accuracy and Surf makes it so then it can't be traded.

Scald's better for bulkier Pokemon. Pokemon that can't take a hit and most damage dealers for example, Greninja need surf due to it's accuracy and slightly more power.

When using that list to figure out something to trade it's a good rule of thumb to stick with Pokemon that I'm missing the entire family for because that means I can't acquire any of them without transporting or trading, like the Seedot family for example

Was thinking of a machamp loadout with guts
basically the idea is he holds a fire orb and burns and shrieks while riding a 50% extra attack bonus
he'd have things like drain punch to keep him alive
he'd get crazy power but the only problem would be if there's some sort of downside to being on fire
oh and I'd need an idea for a name
