giving a ferrothorn a choice item is about as useful as giving a rotom an air balloon

actually smogon has a choice band set for ferrothorn on the 5th gen page

it's obviously not as viable but Ferrothorn has pretty nice attack

Did some research on type effectiveness items. With STAB, the move surf coupled with a mystic water will deal 90 x 1.5 x 1.2 in total damagewise, which is 162 in total, times that by 15 for the number of times you can do it and you come out with 2,340 damage.

Swampert in it's own is relatively bulky and only suffers weakness to Grass, while having a better-than-average move pool. Why not bulk his defence instead and give him leftovers so he can stall?

Rocky Helmet on Ferrothorn is better than holding a Choice Scarf. Speed isn't everything.
