don't forget to get a tentacruel, trust me you do not want crobat wasting a slot on defog

My current candidates are:

Scolipede
Tentacruel
Drapion
Weezing
Crobat
Venusaur
Nidoking
Dragalge
Gengar

>no roserade

son i am disappoint.

Why doesn't the Assault Vest have an opposite? (One that increases Def instead of Sp D)

My current candidates are:

Scolipede
Tentacruel
Drapion
Weezing
Crobat
Venusaur
Nidoking
Dragalge
Gengar

I always figure covering type weaknesses is a good first step for monotype teams. So from your list, definitely grab Drapion to block Psyshocks. Maybe even give him an Assault Vest to take the Psyshock-user's other special attacks well, I think it'd be pretty cute since he gets Knock Off and a whole slew of coverage. Plenty of ground immunities in the poison world as well, and on your list I really like Weezing, as it can spread burn through Will-O-Wisp really easily which lets the other members of your team take Earthquakes better if need be.

Rate my teams:
Leafgreen: Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Articuno, Vulpix, Dragonair and Ryhorn
Heartgold: Umbreon, Glaceon (Traded), Cyndaquil, Valporeon, Eevee and Jolteon
Sapphire: Mudkip, Poochyenna, Plussle, Makuhita and Zigzagoon
White 2: Tepig and Growlithe
bad
bad, too much eevee

Oh yeah, Drapion, Scolipede, and Weezing pretty much have their spots secured on the team

I was sorta looking to try a gambler Drapion just for fun; Sniper with Night Slash and holding a Lens, so heads he does double damage and tails he does less damage than Crunch

I didn't see Knock Off in the movepool at first, that'll be great

i would definitely put crobat on the team. i see it as the talonflame of poison types. it's really fast, and it also does cover a bunch of weaknesses. it CAN counter psychic types in a way if you give it a bug or dark type moves.
besides
it has brave bird
i also think nidoking should be a team member. if you consider the suggestions on truce's post, there aren't many special attackers. nidoking can be a physical attacker too if you really want it to, but i would prefer special attacking.
the only reason i didn't say gengar is because of its gay mega evo that is overpowered to the max although you can give it a focus sash idc

Oh that does sound like a fun Drapion set. You'd do 105 on average with Night Slash which beats out even Knock Off hitting a target with an item (with 0 damage modifiers though). So in the long run you'll be better off while still experiencing some fun ups and downs along the way. I think some other Pokemon should be able to do that now that +2 crit stages brings you all the way up to 50%, I'll have to look around.

if i had a poison team it would be

nidoking
crobat
gengar
dragalge
venusaur
drapion

*cough*

I know Kingdra and Absol can reach 100%, not sure about others, but really anything that has a move with raised crit chance can roll the gambler set (no pun intended)

*cough*

Not a fan

I'd really like to give Dragalge a spin just to see how it does, it's a shame Adaptability isn't available yet though

shiny form looks wicked sick too, maybe that'll be my next grind

I still need my mega blaziken.
I had an OP blaziken before it was cool.

a Japanese pokemon tv show is apparently going to air some footage of the Ruby/Sapphire remakes tomorrow at 6:30pm EST

will it be another trailer, gameplay, or anything worthwhile
who knows, but i'm sure someone will record it and throw it on youtube at some point

shiit i can't wait

Sweet! I really want to see what this will be like! Hype train's about to get a hell of a lot bigger.
