It's not Communism's fault. its the stuffty evil dictators that ruined the idea for the average person.

The idea in itself is a little bit oppressing in general.  EVERYONE gets THE SAME EXACT THINGS and can not have anything else?  That leaves no room to be yourself, obviously an evil dictator is going to take advantage of this already oppressed system.

And the only places where communism started were countries that had nothing to begin with, so when an evil dictator comes in and offers the people food, water and shelter, of course they're going to side with him.  They have nothing left to lose.

Well, I suppose I get a little preachy when it comes to this sort of thing, but it's not just my duty to be informed, it's everyone's.

We all have a voice in this country and to sit by and idly accept a government's oppression without even at least saying "well I sure didn't vote for it" is really just anti-American.

I can vote all I want, but if it's just me against these politicians, they're going to outnumber me every time.

It just really irks me to see people sit by and say: "yes, I admit that I am ignorant and I will submit to whatever comes of it."

If more people like you had existed during the revolution (and they did, they were called torries and got tarred and feathered after the war was over) then we'd have never revolted in the first place and we'd still be under the Queen's rule.

I learned this one back in the seventh grade or something, it pretty much sums everything up.

Imagine if your teacher told everyone at the beginning of the class that everyone would be passing the class with a "C."

You can go in and take a test and get a hundred percent, but still get a C. Or, you can go in and fail the test and still get a C.

What's to make you want to even bother taking the test? Study? Do homework? You're going to get a C regardless.

But the thing is, did you really learn anything? No, you didn't. That's communism in a nut shell. Everyone gets the same, so whats the point of working at all? I'm still going to get the same as the guy who works twice as hard as me.

The thing is, instead of this just loving up your education in one class, we're talking about the entire economic system collapsing.

Even without a dictator. Communism does not work. Period.

plus gbs hasn't posted anything about it yet, which makes me kinda suspicious. i know gbs, and i know they'd be all over this stuff within 5 minutes of it happening
