Oh God I love Pink Floyd so much. I can go on and on about how much I love them.
ALBUMS HERE WE GO. The Wall is my favorite album, Wish You Were Here is my second favorite, then Dark Side of the Moon, then Momentary Lapse of Reason, then Division Bell, then Animals, then Final Cut, and the rest of their music (psychadelic rock) I really don't care for, though if I
had to listen to their pre-progressive music I would probably choose the album Obscured by Clouds.
SONGS I LIKE okay okay. Mother is a really good song, One of my Turns ... basically everything on The Wall I really like. Wish You Were Here is probably their best song though in my opninion. Learning to Fly is also a great song, it and On the Turning Away are probably the two best songs from A Momentary Lapse of Reason, although Dogs of War is all right.
WHY PINK FLOYD IS GOOD oke doke. Their progressive rock (anything from Dark Side of the Moon onward) is really nice to listen to. I like The Wall because it tells a very interesting story and has generally innovative vocals, Wish You Were Here because of the great sound techniques used (hence the progressive rock), Dark Side of the Moon because of the great concepts each song covers. Though I think I've come to love their music, not because of the great melodies, but because of the intense meaning behind each song.
There we go that's my Pink Floyd rant. Time to interact with people.
The music they did pre-2005 was great, shame hipsters are a majority of their fanbase now.
The only music they did after the Division Bell are concert albums right?
Pink Floyd is overrated. People only like them today because they think it makes them cool.
Phooey. :(
