Author Topic: Improve Video Quality With Sony Vegas?  (Read 3431 times)

I have a pretty low-end computer, so when I record Blockland with Fraps, my framerate drops. The only way I can avoid this is if I set Blockland to Windowed Mode at 640x480. So now the framerate is fine, but the quality is very low.

Is there a way to improve the quality with Sony Vegas Pro 9? I know I have somehow done it before with Windows Live Movie Maker on my older videos, so when you watch it in HD on YouTube, it is in HD. Even though the video was recorded in SD.

Basically, is there a way to improve low-quality videos with Sony Vegas Pro 9?

You can't really improve the quality of a recorded video using a video editor.

You can stretch the video to 1080p or 720p but it will look like crap.

Any idea on how I can record at a 720p resolution without Fraps destroying my framerate?

Try and get it atleast 1080 x 720 for HD

If you're on a singleplayer server, set the timescale to 0.25 and speed it up as much as you can In vegas.

Try recording in half size. The video quality will suffer a bit, but not too much.
