ah yes my friend had the problem with red stuff. he said it was a driver issue for him, idk. or something about an intel chipset maybe. google it.

as for lag, lower your graphics settings. make sure to lower stuff in graphics and advanced graphics.

this isn't downloading. I have the startup launcher up and in the pack updates tab it just says that it's downloading graphics and sound packs.
actually I'll grab a picture so I don't have to type out a description.
