Nobody would care if it wasn't a kitten. Now that it's a kitten, everyone is defending it and yelling at others who didn't care.
We are not inhumane, you are just very sensitive and have bad logic. Do you happen to work for PETA by any chance?
Shouldn't matter if it is a kitten or not. The intention behind it was for entertainment, and the action itself sadistic. The same would go if it was a mouse.
There is no law of nature or otherwise that says this. Your argument is flawed.
Actually, his argument does hold up in some respects. Pets are inclined to trust their owners - domesticated animals depend on their owners for protection and survival. The man abused this fact. You could argue that it's the same for mice or rats, but as I've said before, he was clearly doing this for reasons of entertainment. What he did was wrong and would be wrong whether it had been with a human baby, a mouse, or a bug.
There's not much use for an alive kitten. What purpose do they really serve?
You could argue the same thing with anything. Nothing serves a purpose if you decide to look at it from that perspective. Honestly, you can categorize everything in the universe as either "edible" or "non-edible" and be done with it.
Tomatoes are fruit.
Really? :o
