Author Topic: My faces go all messed up when I'm hosting a server.  (Read 605 times)

My Blockhead looks perfectly fine when it's in some other server, but every time I'm hosting my own server, when I go into avatar options in the escape menu, the face button appears blank and my Blockhead just has a different face. And when I try to change it back, it just stays like that until I close Blockland. Help, please?

Does it work fine if you host a dedicated server and join that?

I actually have no idea how to host a dedicated server.

When you installed v20 it gave you an option to create a dedicated shortcut.
If you choose not to, you just need to create another shortcut, with the target "C:\Program Files (x86)\Blockland\BlocklandLauncher.exe" -dedicated -map skylands
Change the file path to the path to your launcher, and mapName to the name of the map you want.
Alternately you could just copy your existing shortcut and add -dedicated -map mapName to the end of the target

I tried running a dedicated server on my computer, but it always crashes.

I think it has something to do with hosting it from the same profilepath that you play on, I have no clue if it's been fixed yet.

I do this all the time and have no problems with it

Check if any faces or decals you downloaded recently are missing a thumbs folder.

This started happening after I deleted every RTB face and decal after finding out that players need to download them to see them in-game.

I tried re-installing Blockland, but that didn't work for some reason, I checked for thumbs for the default faces, as GeneralSkar said, and it was all there.

I deleted the RTB faces through the mod manager, not through Blockland's files, so I can't have messed with anything that way.
