for papercraft noobs papercraft is not oragami papercraft involves cutting and taping

How do they keep shape so well? Is it the cardstock stuff that you're talking about? That looks really nice.

Cardstock is a stronger material, so it's easier to make stuff with it. IF you don't have a good printer however, the ink can rub off very easily.

Cardstock is a type of paper that has a thickness somewhere between printer paper and posterboard
