A parasite controlling a zombie doesn't necessarily mean the host is alive.

The parasites could just control a dead host.

Let's take for example the car, and a human is a parasite.

If the human is in the car, the car can move and is animated, the car isn't necessarily living.

Now if a zombie is a car, then the parasite needs to be in the zombie for it to move. So therefore it is just animated and not living.

We are talking about parasite zombies guys, the infected.
