Yea, that's right, he said:

If the developer of Blockland were to re-release the game with controls that matched Minecraft key-for-key, I'd bet his sales would skyrocket. I'd love to see that.
Just exactly how would people figure this out before playing the game? It's shouldn't be "select your block" and "click to put it down" with a game aligned to a much, much different grid system.
Are people to lazy to learn a new concept? Why does he call it a "clone" of minecraft, being out for much longer?

He's a moron.

Everyone knows you can just change the controls in the options.

Blockland is a game that bills itself as "playing with LEGOs on the Internet." While that may be true visually, playing with LEGOs is much easier.

Nope.

HOW DO PEOPLE EVEN loving SEE A RESEMBLANCE

because I don't

The guy who wrote this article is just silly. At least he wasn't saying don't buy Blockland

How do you expect to build stuff in BL like in minecraft. It's like when I first got the demo, didn't play the tutorial, and didn't know you could shift your ghost brick. Hell, I misplace blocks in Minecraft.

Nope.
He's obviously never tried to disconnect 2 1x2's stacked parallel to each other.

any publicity is good publicity.

There are lots of articles like this. I see no resemblance but there is no reason to get mad

+1 internet point

He wants to "place block with this button" and "break block with this button" for plastic bricks.

Blockland was the handiwork of one person who built the entire game in C++.
Do people even do research?

Lol building in Blockland is easy. It's simple, you move the damned ghost brick around with keys that are placed in exactly the same way as arrow keys. Minecraft's building controls are so incredibly simple I guess it makes Blockland look hard.
