In light of the increased military activity of its neighbors, Avalonia is fortifying. The Capitol of Aumrot is being walled in, as well as surrounded by a moat. Other towns and cities are taking similar measures, as well as training militias, and forging weapons.

A massive Wall is being made to fortify Avalonia's borders not shared with Aemilius. Construcion will halt during the winter, though the borders will be guarded heavily. Orders have been given to capture all non Avalonian/Aemilian citizens found trespassing. They will serve a term of labor, and be returned to their original lands after one month.

Massive food and firewood stores are being hoarded. Avalonia will survive the winter.

Avalonia reveals tecnology formerly hidden from the public.
An element has been discovered that, when it is combined with iron in the right way and ammount, prevents rusting. Unfortunately, it is extremely hard to isolate, and little rust-proof iron has been made. Avalonia will sell the information for ten thousand iron spears.

To all you naysayers, this is historically and scientifically accurate.

Avalonia's national military currently ammounts to ten thousand heavy cavalry, twenty thousand light cavalry, five thousand archers, and fifteen thousand assorted infantrymen. Exact number of militia members is unknown.

First trespassers put to work constructing wall. They claim to come from a tribe to the north of Avalonia.
