Add some different colors of stone, maybe use a brick sort of texture?
I just thought something plain that you don't have to pay attention to would be easier than some super detailed thing that nobody would look at anyways

and I mostly used the 3 shades was because of it being a "spaceship futuristic" or something

it's not like I can make anything fancy with 16x16 or it would look cluttered
Ike makes fine sprites, so does Thompson. You just suck.

I would like to help in some way, but I have no clue about coding and I'm not too good at spriting
maybe testing it?
also nice constructive criticism you have there, I'll be sure to follow it word from word

No, you just suck. He's given you many examples, and Thompson made great sprites without even asking.

Alright, I do suck at spriting, and he did give me some examples

but then you come in yelling "YOU SUCK LOLOLOL" without helping me or anything

You are a complete starfish, shut up if you aren't going to give any constructive criticism. Also, why don't you do some art?

1. Choose reference photo/think of something to make.
2. Draw outline.
3. Add noise with noise effect or by manually lightening/darkening.

???
Get sprites!

I want to see something YOU made.

I made that brick thing for the example.

Also, 3D & 2D games.

Make a sword with a green Hilt and a cutlass type blade.

I don't make pixel art. That's why the topic is dedicated to my 3D game with the 2D one on the sideline.

I like using the 3 colors so it seems more like metal and not randomly put together colors, and what do you mean by that?

It means add noise.

noise... like shading?

Noise is variation in color, so yeah kind of like shading. Paint.NET, Gimp, Photoshop, etc. all come with a noise tool.
