Coffee Shops
That smell when you walk in
The aroma as you walk out
That's the smell of coffee my friends

The beans, the croisants, the coffee
Oh how I love thee so
Even when I amn't eating them in tow

I sit there and grin
As coffee almost goes down my chin
Because coffee shops are a great place to whim

That smell when you walk in
The aroma as you walk out
That's the smell of coffee my friends

forget, my poetry is horrible. I'll just try to describe a coffee shop.

The smells of morning waft around.
People sit in their booths, living their lives.
The scenery is muted and speaks quietly
Everything is so silent. So soft.
Only the faint murmur of machinery
and the hushed instructions of customers

I look into my own drink.
I wonder how much this small thing has gone through
From harvest, to grinding, to machinery to cup
This small coffee has traveled farther than I
And yet it will soon be gone, empty and thrown aside
as it will return back to the earth, as all things do

Jesus loving christ I sound like an emo 10 year old somebody loving stop me.

Hmpppp this might cut it

stuff son that's not even done. Do you want me to continue?

Free verse meaning it doesn't have to rhyme
here I go:

O, great lakes
Bodies of water, glistening bright
Goes to depths I cannot perceive
Truly a magnificent sight
I wish I could come more

O, great lakes
Natural beauty, great waves
Fish for everyone, oh how I love
Bringing families together once more
I wish I could come more

O, great lakes
The life you give, nessecity
Everyone needs you, I need you
Loving the world, and loving me
I wish I could come more

When I come more, I sense the serenity
When I come more, I appreciate life
When I come more, Life is simple
I must make an effort
I shall come more
