We should probably try not to kill him as well. In fact confrontation only if necessary here.

You go to the south road at nightfall.  Mulch and rockets are hiding behind some barrels.  Vegetarian is at the old lady's house.  The other three are on a two story roof.

You see the old man come out.  He looks left, looks right, and then he says:

"I told you to come alone"

Suddenly he throws something at the ground and there is a large black cloud everywhere, you can't see anything.

I'm going to yell out "You didn't tell him to come alone you idiot!"

I'm going to yell out "You didn't tell him to come alone you idiot!"

No answer..  The cloud fades, he is gone.

What now?

No answer..  The cloud fades, he is gone.

What now?

Find him.
Knock him out.
Tie him up.
Wait.
While waiting, feel free to lop off an ear.
Or both.
Hit him with the hilt of your blades a couple of times.
Wait more.

Nothing. We'll just have to hope he contacts us again. In the mean time lets all head back to the outskirts of the city and get some rest. I call not it on first watch.

You watch your backs.  Nothing happens.
I meant as in
Just keep a lookout

No experience for that encounter.

You go outside the city and set up a camp.

We all sleep until the next morning. Vag needs to loving kill those bats soon.

We will continue with Veg's little quest once he actually posts lol.

Next morning comes, what now.

Well I'm going off to the general store spend the rest of my money on food. Everyone else can pretty much do what they will. However I'd make the suggestion that masterockets should just wander aimlessly around town for an hour or two, he's bound to get spotted. Maybe he'll even be approached by the beggar. I don't think he will be attacked but he should be prepared to fight alone if he has to.
