Femurs are pretty heavy.
I suppose we could yank some bones out of place.

Bones are about 1/5 of a human's total body weight, and being that there are 206 of them, the femur is probably......3/35? Just a random fraction :3

You put the staff on your back.  Do you walk over towards them and surrender?

The femur is too heavy.  A lighter bone would be possible, but You would have to remove a few bones before it did anything to seriously cripple them.
