I've debated and such so much, and it never helps. I'll just say I'm Christian, and move to another topic. If anybody wants to try and debate it feel free to Pm me.

The age of time was created by flying demonic space monkeys with rocket launchers. Heaven is actually a giant pretzel with a sugary coating of human souls. Hell is watching X-factor being repeated nonstop and God is actually a giant form of marshmellow slowly being roasted.

On a more serious note, I'm actually agnostic and have been for many years.

Oh

it's because you left

ok :cookieMonster:

I admit if you look back at my posts I was pretty much an idiot

So they get eternal torture for something they didn't do? I have yet to find that loving.

They get a choice, and most people know about it in this day and age. God was merciful when he spared humanity after the fall of man when he was justified to eliminate His creation (and he pretty much always is considering He made us). It could be a hell of a lot worse.

I know the myths, But what I want to know is:

1. Is it OK by any moral standard to torture someone for eternity?

2. He was merciful when someone ate a fruit and didn't kill them, how nice.

3. Talking snake????

4. So your good book says this, BTW these are where morals come from

When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished.  If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property.  (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

religion is like a snake
it is okay to have one
it is okay to be proud of it
it is not okay to have it out in public and shove it down people's throats.

1. Except God doesn't torture them, Satan who has possession over souls who do not ask for salvation from  Christ tortures them

2. Directly disobeying your creator does not result in good things.

3. Yes

4. Those are Old Covenant Laws for Jews which are not only outdated by the sacrifice of Christ which caused the Old Heaven and Earth to pass, but also never applied to Gentiles.

Well, for 1 he still sends them there and does not allow them into heaven.

And also on 4

For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished.  Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”  (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV)  Clearly the Old Testament is to be abided by until the end of human existence itself.  None other then Jesus said so.

The old testament counts, it did NOT come to pass, Anyway the 10 commandments are in the Old testament
