preferably not rated R because my parents still believe that i shouldn't watch them even though i have multiple times (with them in the room)

District 9 is one of my favorite movies. The original Planet of the Apes is also very good because it isn't just a neat science fiction movie but also touches upon blind faith and denial of science.
