Headphones are isolate. My friend has Turtle Beaches which has a four foot wire connecting the headphones to the box, and another two foot wire to connect the box to your xbox, ps3, or computer. and you need a program to use them on the computer, they suck, but if there was a way to get a good foot or two wire directly from headphones to headphone jack then they are amazing. just to much wires for me.

I got a 2 dollar pair of headphones, and they work really good. Trust me, it's much better to just some buy really cheap ones and spend the rest of your money on video games and if you buy them at a store you can just go ahead and use them the same day.

You haven't used any ear buds other than 2 dollar ones. I can imagine the sound quality and bass frequencies would be terrible.

Believe it or not, the sound quality doesn't matter, as long as I can hear with them, then they're okay.

I own 3 pairs of $200+ earbuds and headphones. They are worth the cost.
Until you own a high-quality pair of earphones, you have no reason to even comment in this thread because there's nothing you can contribute but stuff.

Speaking of sound quality, I built a suit with speakers in the arms legs and  chest area with backpack subwoofers to go on my back.

I can now throw some rocking punches without touching the guy. Battery power is a bitch though.
