Author Topic: Star Wars: TOR taking forever to download? (Read 3104 times)

So, I started downloading Star Wars the Old Republic I'd say around 11:30 or noonish, and its now 4:30 and its a little past half way done, and its goin slow as stuff.

Is this supposed to take a century to download, or is it just my computer?

I wasnt expecting to take minutes, but 3 hours? never seen something that slow.

I'm gonna take a guess that it's the number in parentheses, that says 643.47 KB/s, but continually declining so im not sure that's it.

I have a 700KB/s DL speed, and downloading a 10GB file takes me around 3 hours, 16GB will take around 5 - 6 hours

what's with games and stuff now being like a kajillion GB.

Starcraft II is only 8 or so GB and it has a billion online servers.

Man, when I was younger a 1 GB game was a lot.
Now everything has to be at least 5 or something

no I think it came out just yesterday if I'm correct...

and from the YT videos I've seen it looks pretty impressive.

then it still should be almost done, considering I started it around 11 er 12.
