Author Topic: Should this sentence end with a period or question mark?  (Read 804 times)

I was going to send my friend a text message. Since English isn't my first language, I'm still learning punctuation. Also, please don't make fun of him for him liking shooter games, like calling him a codcigarette.

"What other games do you you like to play that aren't shooter games, because I already know you likes those(. or ?)"

Replace the comma with a question mark. Convert the second part of your sentence into another sentence, end it with a period.

"Due to the fact that I already know you like them, what other games do you like to play that aren't shooters?"

I'm guessing period because that's what I'd put.
But that might not be gramatically correct.

What other games do you you like to play that aren't shooter games? I already know you like those.

What other games do you you like to play that aren't shooter games? I already know you like those.

I love you.

just make it two sentences like Mulch and James said
that's what I usually do

"Due to the fact that I already know you like them, what other games do you like to play that aren't shooters?"

you know what's better than Nasoa's?
this:
"I know you like shooters, but what other kinds of games do you play?"

I think in that case the comma is treated like a question mark and it ends in a period.

you know what's better than Indy's?
this:
"I know you like shooters, but what other kinds of games do you play?"
It's Nasoa's
