When I'm on campus I always try to have my backpack containing my laptop and a hoodie (if I'm not wearing one). The backpack usually holds nothing else.

I used to just keep my keys on a keyring in my pocket, but I've now got a carabiner that I clip on to my belt loop. I'm planning on just hooking a knife onto it.
