Author Topic: Why does windows 7 not install?  (Read 679 times)

I keep receiving this error no matter how many times I change my hdd type or try again and again. Does anyone have any solutions on how to fix this?

Make sure you have all the files..?

try googling the error code, if that doesnt help take it back to the store.

Are you trying to install a new OS?  Or are you just trying to update 7 from a previous version?

Reformatted HDD and everything.

you couldve just gotten windows 8.

I had an error similar to that.

I just copied everything from the CD onto a USB stick, booted from the CD with the USB stick plugged in, and took the CD out once it got to the partition selector screen or w/e. Worked fine then.

Not sure if it'll work for you but it's still worth a shot.

That's barely finished.  I would not even recommend it yet.

I always put expensive operating systems on USB drives because I'm paranoid that I'll scratch the CD.

Bad Idea, the Windows 8 released by Microsoft is the Developer Preview, and its bound to be unstable.

To OP: Did you check to see if your computer met the minimal requirements?

Is your boot/install disk scratched at all?

how does someone not meet the requirements these days? They're low as hell.
