Author Topic: Problems with the internet.  (Read 358 times)

My internet has been acting very stuffty lately, and I have no idea why.
Ever since Christmas day, my internet has been unacceptably stuffty. The only way my internet will work is if I literally sit right next to it, the quality varies depending how close I am to the router. If I exit the room with the router in it (The living room) the internet simply refuses to work. I have ideas of what could be making this happen

1. A computer virus.

I find this very unlikely, but my brother refuses to believe this is not the problem (Mostly because of the fact he is a stubborn starfish). I looked at my computers internet usage, and it was, as I expected, not using much of it. Although this could probably still be the problem.

2. The special edition modern warfare 3 turtle beaches that my brother got for christmas

I stated this could probably be the problem, because it's wireless and maybe they're having problems together. (I have a wireless internet connection and the turtle beaches are close to the internet router.)

3. The internet router is getting old?

I've had it for a while now, is this possible?

The problem is most likely not my computer because my 3Ds, DSI XL and Xperia Play all have problems connecting to the internet when I'm not in the room of the router. Please help me.

someone inserted a chip to mess around with your internet.

Your router is probably getting old. I had one for about a decade and had to replace it recently, now my internet runs much better.

Yes, but I don't believe that because of the fact the internet stufftyness happened so abruptly, not slowly withering over years of use.
